Dietary Information

The NHS advise, that we follow the eat well plate, which divides foods into five groups. Men should on average be eating around 2500 calories daily and women 2000. To find a more accurate recommended daily calorie intake you can use the Schofield equation. This will give you your basal metabolic rate (BMR). The calories needed to sustain healthy bodily activity and your active, moderately and very active calories.

Keto Diet

FOOD!! What we put into our body to fuel us is important. Harsh restrictive diets can help us loose weight and for some people this works. The majority of us however will find this approach leads to yo-yo dieting, coupled with mood swings and sometimes depression. So what’s the alternative? Why not try to aim for simple changes that will begin to have positive health benefits straight away. Such as drinking more water and adding fresh vibrant colours and flavours to your diet. Fresh vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts. Can help boost your concentration, lift your spirits reduce stress, increase energy levels and are good to the heart. If you don’t eat fresh already just try adding something each day. These small subtle changes, replacing maybe one or two unhealthy snacks a day with healthy ones, can be easier to maintain in the long run. Leading to a healthier lifestyle, rather than a cycle of constant yo-yo dieting.
