Motivation!

It’s definitely not easy to find Motivation, stay motivated and be motivated to exercise all the time.

I often get asked how I stay so motivated to exercise. If I’m honest on self- reflection it’s not always been easy.

Looking back, it was a change in mindset that helped me after reading ‘the growth mindset’ by Carol Dweck.

Although I had elements of the growth mindset within me already, some of my beliefs were definitely fixed.

Sometimes it’s just as simple as flicking that switch on the way you view yourself, your abilities and the importance of it all.

Telling yourself, “okay it might not be easy, but it will be so worth it.”

Everyday we get a chance to try again to be better. A chance to grow. Try to view exercise as self care not punishment. Exercise can be therapy, It not only changes your body, it can change your attitude and your mood.

“ The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

– Socrates

Self love isn’t always About doing the things you love, it’s about having a word with yourself when you need to. Giving your own ass a kick instead of waiting for someone else to.

The only person that can change your life is you.

Once you replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts you start to see the changes.

Most importantly of all enjoy the journey. Be happy with all your achievements no matter how big or small and only compare yourself to the person in the mirror.
